Darren NamayePrincipal, Creative Director
As creative director, Darren is passionate about each creative expression he produces for clients — ensuring solutions are unique, memorable and most important, appropriately linked to the client's goals and strategy. Inspired by the power of words and images, his greatest strength is finding the essence of a communication problem and solving it in unexpected ways. Prior to founding IOP Darren was a design director at Red Sky/Belk Mignogna Associates; a senior designer at Clifford Selbert Design in Boston; design director at Doyle Advertising and Design; designer in the design office of Art Center College of Design; and a designer in Walt Disney's Imagineering Group. Darren has designed, directed and managed untold numbers of projects for clients such as MetLife, Exult, E.W. Scripps, Reebok, and Neiman Marcus to name a few. His work has been awarded and published by the AIGA, Communication Arts, American Center for Design, British Art Direction and Design, Print, The AR100, Mead Annual Report Show, Potlatch Annual Report Show, ID, Critique, HOW, Step Inside Design, Type Director's Club and Graphis. It was also showcased in the Smithsonian Institute Cooper-Hewitt's "Mixing Messages: Graphic Design in Contemporary Culture" exhibition at the National Design Museum in New York City. He is a current member of the AIGA. Darren is a native of Kaneohe, Hawaii, a far cry from the hustle and bustle of New York City, but he calls both cities home. He is a graduate of Art Center College of Design. |
