Global Cities, a program of Bloomberg Philanthropies, is focused on global, technology enabled learning through collaboration and dialog. Recent global challenges—whether the Covid-19 pandemic or the acceleration of climate change—has made the need for global competency education clear and urgent. Global Cities has used the power of direct peer connections to teach 10- to 13-year-old students around the world how to solve global problems.
IOP has been the impact communications design partner since 2018. Over the course of our continuing partnership—from the publication of their initial outcomes framework through the recent publication of the robust findings and how to apply them—we are thrilled to support their efforts. We created a series of digital and print publications to engage educators, disseminate findings, provide tools for adoption, and influence policymakers. We visualized the data through infographics, charts and graphs, organized voluminous research into a logical flow anyone could follow. And, the curriculum and tools they provide have been used by hundreds of educators around the world.
Their research and publications have provided valuable tools for educators and researchers, demonstrating impact on global learning for stakeholders and partners. We’re delighted to support an organization that’s creating the next generation of global leaders.
