IOP has been a long-time partner of the Sam Simon Charitable Giving Foundation (SSCGF). The foundation mission is to better the treatment of animals, and to provide pathways out of poverty for individuals and families in Los Angeles. SSCGF supports and operates three major programs—the Sam Simon Feeding Families Foundation, the Sam Simon Assistance Dogs Program, and the Sam Simon Mobile Vet Clinic. Initially IOP designed and developed the foundation’s visual identity and digital presence. We then designed a cohesive digital ecosystem to tie each program together under the umbrella of SSCGF in a comprehensive suite of sites, while developing unique digital user experiences tailored to the needs and goals of each program.
The Sam Simon Feeding Families Foundation site is available in both English and Spanish, with the ability to expand language offerings as needed. The site’s navigation is streamlined to lead visitors directly to the information about the program’s in-person services. The site utilizes the system’s text hierarchy, image-first design, and clean navigation style to create accessible pathways for people in need to learn about their important services. This website enabled the program to coordinate services inform recipients more easily.
The Sam Simon Assistance Dogs Program site reflects the breadth of services the program offers and the various types of clients they need to connect with. Information is broken up in clearly navigable sections to clearly lead users through the planned visitor’s journey based on their needs. The site includes direct application portals for all services, eliminating the need for a third-party application. and retaining engagement. Timely stories of successful matches and adoptions, a trainer’s blog, as well as resources designed to meet their specific needs post adoption bring visitors back to the site for future learning and engagement. This website has streamlined the application process and created a platform for stories, doubling engagement on the site.
We are working to bring the Sam Simon Mobile Vet Clinic site into alignment with the design system to complete the Sam Simon Charitable Giving Foundation suite.
