Climate Communications Panel

On November 9th, our own Nicole Loher, moderated a panel and roundtable at the annual Self-Care Learning and Discovery Series hosted by the Self-Care Trailblazer Group and the White Ribbon Alliance. The session explored the intersection of self-care and climate change, with a focus on what’s working in the realm of climate communications, public and private partnerships, and dive into climate-resilience resources. Her key takeaways:
- Mitigation and adaptation need equal monetary support and general attention to facilitate a just transition.
- There is no single “catch all” solution to supporting underrepresented communities, yet there is a consensus that underrepresented communities need to be more frequently considered in health-related mitigation and adaption conversations.
